Introduction
Asperger's Syndrome (AS) is a disorder on the autistic spectrum. It is considered a mild form of autism, but individuals with AS can appear very different from individuals with autism. AS affects the way people interact with others and how they perceive the world around them. Ask yourself the following questions:
- What situations can cause a person with AS excessive anxiety?
- Why is AS considered to be on the Autistic spectrum?
- Why do people with AS find social situations confusing?
- Are kids with AS as interested in making friends as their peers are?
- What are some things you can do to make a kid with AS feel more comfortable?
You will explore these questions during your WebQuest and be able to answer them using either the writing or animation tools provided at the end of the task.
